Czech pavilion EXPO 2025

The exhibition pavilion takes the form of a wooden honeycomb through which a series of organic shapes grow. It is easily identifiable from nearby and from the remote Fujimoto Colonnade. The outer facade has an easily memorable appearance thanks to the contrast of organics and pure form. The supporting structure is made entirely of CLT wooden panels. The main idea was to open up a peek into the future of medicine while presenting its complex history. The elegant curves of the organic windows and the intricate wood honeycomb reflect the complex connections in the medical field. The expressive elements of the pavilion are designed to mimic the organic structure of the human body.
