One of the first questions I asked myself was: who is the building meant for? I came to a conclusion that someone´s death is more significant for those close to them than it is for the deceased themeselves. They grieve, they suffer and they have to deal with loss of the loved one. That is why my design is aimed at the living left behind. My goal was to create a place where they can not only say goodbye to their beloved, but which would also serve as a sanctuary.
