Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

The castle is located in Náchod, on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. From a Gothic castle from the 13th century, it was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The main idea of this revitalization was to create functional spaces by adding new elements and respecting the historical layers of the castle. Detach some parts of the object was also necessary. For this reason, the interior and exterior buildings from the revolutionary years were removed. The design concept consists in the creation of three interconnected circuits. The first circuit is oriented towards the educational function, with space for creation and education. The second circuit is an exhibition and the last circuit consists of tours of the historic castle.
