Apartment house "comoda"

The study focuses on designing an apartment building on Komenského Street in Nové Město nad Metují, in a gap. The building's mass design is based on that of the surrounding buildings. The masses are adapted to the scale of the surroundings, resulting in two units that differ mainly in their structural height. The apartment building features a garden for the comfort of its residents. The main design concept of the building is elongated living spaces with a view of the entire room. The flats are divided into day and night zones, which alternate throughout the layout and are inscribed on the façade like drawers of a chest of drawers. The apartments slightly deviate from this arrangement. Above the passageway, there are 10 studio apartments and 3 commercial spaces.
