The task of the studio work was to create a residential building in an attractive location on the main street in Nové Město nad Metují, currently used as a storage space for the residents of the adjacent house. The land has potential arising from the unpaved proximity to the main street, on one side, and the view of the Metuji River valley on the other. From the beginning, the biggest challenge seemed to be the relatively small dimensions, especially in the front part of the passage, facing the street, and the fact that the passage is located between a three-story functionalist house and a low cottage with a gable roof.
