Youth Centre

The old tram depot, Orionka, situated on the border between the Vinohrady and Vršovice districts, has long been unused. Surrounded by numerous schools, kindergartens, and residences, I want to contribute to the cultural aspect of this area by creating a youth center. The historic structure is preserved in the design, dividing the ground floor into two visually independent yet connected sections. The ground floor is dedicated to commercial use, with the main entrance highlighted by a cantilever leading directly to the reception area. A prominent staircase dominates the space, progressing through two floors. The first floor is for artistic workshops, the second and third for sports and physical activities, while the administrative section is on the fifth floor.
