The Flow

The project is focused on construction of brick wall in combination with water feature at the Bezruč Square in Opava. The project uses the gradual slope of the plot to its advantage to create a closed loop for rainwater to flow through. There’s a trough for waterflow created as the crown of the wall, slighlty tilted opposite the terrain, digging into it as it unravels. Where it meets the terrain, the water falls into the through on the terrain itself, following the natural slope back down. At the end of the cycle there’s a manual pump to get the water back on top of the wall. The main purpose of the project is for people to connect and discover the water element, use it during playtime and give more opportunity for people to inhabit the square.
