Refugee Residence Center Zenklova

Richard Doležálek

Annotation

A refuge residence between the romantic upper Libeň and the bustling Bulovka on Zenklova Street, on a plot that today forms a wide gap in the street's buildings. The theme responds to the issue of refugees, and I see in it an opportunity to address efficient housing design as a strong aspect influencing the quality of human life. My goal was to create a comfortable, simple, and functional refuge intended for a stay of 1 to 1.5 years. The area aims to contribute to a sense of security, dignity, and the ability to integrate into the new society for the widest possible range of asylum seekers. In the design, I strive to work with the integration of asylum seekers into everyday life, because I perceive this as key to living in a new society.
