South Entrance to Čáslav - the public spaces

The work deals with the area of the southern entrance to Čáslav and is based on a previous project, which adds a few buildings, modifies the shape of the road and creates two public spaces - a square in front of the Otakar tower and a park square in front of the multifunctional building - and a pedestrian bridge between them. It connects to a pedestrian street leading directly to the historic centre of the city. Surface solutions and lighting clearly show where pedestrians and cars move. In places where pedestrians and drivers meet, the road is designed as sidewalks in terms of height and pavement; so the drivers will naturally slow down. The proposal works with several types of trees carefully chosen considering their locations.
