To the Surface

You walk along a cycle path, a busy main road, and past grey buildings. Wires hang over your head, and the noise of the city echoes from all directions. But suddenly, you hear the quiet gurgle of water—a thin stream trying to catch your attention. It's soaking up the sunlight it hasn't reached for a long time, finding a new path on the surface. You continue along the shallow pool, the leaves rustling overhead, the monotonous buildings behind not so eerie. With the arrival of water, the forgotten area between the industrial zone and the road on the outskirts of Lanškroun is transformed. The Podzemník stream and vegetation offer a refuge for animals and a place for people to stop. The project aims to raise the silted stream, retain water, and provide space for short walks and rest.
