House for a botanist

My design of the house for a botanist is located in the area of Hanspaulka in Dejvice. This area is well-known for functionalist villas. My goal was to design not just the home for the family but also the work-place for a botanist to fulfill his work ambitions. The villa is divided into two buildings. One is designed for living and second for the work. The one of the most important parts of the house is a greenhouse to grow plants in. Inside the family part of the house, there is a floor dedicated to the job as well (laboratory/office located on the second floor). The botanist can easily walk to the greenhouse by using an overpass. The first and third floor is dedicated to the family.
