Annotation

The villa-house for UMPRUM is part of a villa colony designed as housing for academics and university students. It is named after one of its landmarks, which is the "piazzetta" meaning small square. It is accessible from the street and has a tree in its centre. The small square leads to a staircase or to the gallery in the parterre. The gallery is open to the public and is intended for displaying the work of the students of the faculty. It can also be used as a workshop. The inspiration for the creation of the multifunctional space was the Kafkárna. The second landmark is the staircase. It divides the house into two parts that are on different levels. It is designed in such a way that each apartment is always entered from a different direction.
