Architect Emil Belluš

A detailed monograph by the prominent Slovak architect Emil Belluš (1899 - 1979), who studied in Budapest and Prague, founded the first school of architecture in Slovakia, a research institute at the Slovak Academy of Sciences and a scientific architectural magazine Architecture & Urbanism. He designed a number of modern buildings for housing, administration and architecturally remarkable engineering works (bridges, mills, reservoirs). The monograph comprehensively describes his life and work.
