The main goal of the project is to contribute to the solution of priority EU research focuse in the field of design of energy and material efficient buildings, fulfiling wider range of sustainability criteria. This goal requires integration of research in different areas ? material, energy, ecology, architectural and urbanistic. The project is to link up to activity and results of doctoral project performed within the period 2003 to 2006. There was created a professional platform for communication of PhD students and supervisors, dealing in their researches with different aspects of sustainable building and sustainable development of brownfields. New project is based on experiences from previous management of doctoral team, which resulted in improvement of quality of thesis and in shortening of time for passing doctoral state exam and final defence of thesis. Taking into account the multicriterion character of sustainable construction problem, the project is organised ?across? different departments ofCTU in Prague. The aim is to involve students and supervisors from different segments of the research in the area of sustainable construction.
