Building in urbanistical context and photography

Most essays and publications on residential housing and private homes featuring visual documentation focus on the building itself and only in exceptional cases explore the building's relationship to its surroundings. In this case, the illustrated study will focus not only on the building's architecture but primarily on the environment in which it is built, including its relationship to the site's historical context and various aspects of newly created relationships. By providing additional illustrations and photographs, the survey expands on the dissertation "The Representation of Architectural Form in Photography."
