EuroTeQ Engineering University

A new study opportunity

EuroTeQ represents an interesting, beneficial and, above all, extraordinary opportunity for students, researchers and employees to participate in a project which, thanks to the interconnection of prestigious universities, has the ambition to increase the quality of university education.

What is EuroTeQ good for?

The EuroTeQ alliance builds on the belief that the leading universities of science and technology, spread across Europe, situated in innovation eco-systems, and with great collaboration experience, are well equipped to take on the challenges of European society and to create impact in Europe and beyond. The social developments of recent years call for strong university alliances to join forces to bring about a paradigm shift in the engineering education of the future and to push responsible value co-creation in technology.

What do we want to build?

Right now the EuroTeQ alliance is starting its 3 years pilot project. The ambition in the first 3 years is to create a new model of engineering education, support international mobility, introduce a new set of micro-credentials and most of all, a new EuroTeQ Honors award and a EuroTeQ Professional certificate.

The very first steps include building an international EuroTeQ campus that will provide a joint Catalogue of courses for all the allied universities. This means that the students of the 6 allied universities will be able to enroll in courses offered within the EuroTeQ program and that there will be improved teaching opportunities for the academic staff. What do you mean by micro-credentials?

Micro-credentials are mini-qualifications that demonstrate skills, knowledge, and/or experience in a given subject area or capability. Also known as nanodegrees, the micro-credentials can be both broad and narrow in focus and include both soft and hard skills. For example, you can have a micro-credential for something as broad as data-driven marketing, and offer another micro-credential focusing specifically on how to empower others in the workplace.

Micro-credentials are particularly useful for people that want to

  • build on their knowledge without completing a full higher education programme
  • upskill or reskill to meet labor market needs or to develop professionally

Registration for 60 virtual courses

A new study opportunity is now available for Autumn/Winter semester 2021/2022! Registration for 60 virtual courses at our European partner universities have just opened! 6 EuroTeQ partners offer selected virtual courses and challenges to all their students. Browse the brand new course catalogue and register to follow courses from a partner university for credits at your home institution.

The courses are offered in English. A number of beginners’ language courses in the local languages are also available. The courses are mostly online, to promote virtual mobility across partners. Some courses may be offered in hybrid form or have a limited face-to-face element, for instance for lab work or a final exam. Courses open for autumn/winter 2021, see the offer here.
