PhDr. Miroslav Pavel, Ph.D.

Miroslav Pavel is a culturologist (cultural anthropologist) and architectural historian. He finished a master's and doctor´s degree at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. In 2019 he received a doctorate at the Department of Theory and History of Architecture at Faculty of Architecture, CTU in Prague. Pavel specializes in the history of architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries and its interdisciplinary overlaps. His long-term focus is on the structural-historical survey of Czech architecture from the second half of the 20th century, and he is a co-author of the methodology for its evaluation. A special area of his work occupies the analysis of architectural work from an anthropological perspective.
