HAVLÍČKŮV BROD - REVITALIZATION OF PUBLIC SPACES

The diploma thesis focuses on the revitalization of public spaces in Havlíčkův Brod with the aim of creating a coherent and lively urban organism. The main approach is the "acupuncture of the city" - a method that, through well-thought-out interventions in selected places, connects city districts and at the same time reveals the potential of historical structures for new use. The proposal transforms the train station into a modern gateway to the city, connected to the center by a pedestrian and bicycle path. The park and the surroundings of the cultural center are integrated into the green infrastructure as key elements of the urban backbone. The new scout house, bistro and camp enrich the town with a space supporting community and recreational activities, bringing a new dynamic to town life.
