Annotation

The thesis proposal uses the example of the town of Trutnov, where the population has been declining for a long time, to apply planning and urban planning approaches that can counteract and prevent the negative consequences of depopulation trends in the town. The urban design concept is based on the assumption that Trutnov is a shrinking city, which is going through a stage of development when its population is declining significantly. The proposal puts forward planning and urban planning measures and solutions that will lead to the elimination or suppression of the negative consequences of the shrinking of the city and proposes specific interventions in the urban structure of Trutnov to maintain the quality of living conditions and viability of the city
