SUŠICE

The diploma thesis focuses on the transformation of the former SOLO Sušice match factory, which is situated in the northern part of the city. Part of the design is to make the area accessible towards the Otava river and at the same time to connect both banks. A new residential area with public services and amenities will be created in the area. The work then concentrates on a smaller scale of one typical block of apartment buildings of different typologies. The design transforms an unused area into a new, functioning northern part of the city and rediscovers its potential.
