TOWNHALL PRAGUE 11

I wanted to show a potential of the plot at the Opatov metro station and create representative space with a town hall of Prague 11. The location is strategic, both in terms of traffic and in terms of importance. The building is situated on the axis of the central park in the new planned district. For the planned development of Opatov, the town hall could be an impetus leading to higher quality of development. The design of the building is based on passive principles of working with energy such as acquisition and accumulation of heat, supply of light and natural cross ventilation. The aim is getting rid of dependence on added technologies. Another aspect of the design is the conection to a tradition of building from prefabricated elements. Prefabri-cation is applied even at the facade in the form of panels made of exposed concrete as a re-minder of the past.
