František Křižík Cultural Center

The goal of the project is to design a place for mass events mainly established by businesses, creators, etc., where they could show themselves, attract investors and interested parties through exhibitions, lectures or performances. This is a private building, therefore the intention of the layout solution is to propose as many variable spaces as it possible for short-term or long-term rent. Each gathering space is designed to meet the conditions of any event. The building includes a library with study rooms. This space can be used as a research center. As a multifunctional building, the cultural center also offers office space. The architecture of the building refers to the importance of Karlín in the past, as an industrial suburb, and symbolizes pieces of metal in different conditions and different ages.
