NATURE RESERVE IN UHŘÍNĚVES - TRANSFORMATION OF THE FORMER NATURE RESERVE INTO A FOREST PARK IN PRAGUE - UHŘÍNĚVES

The master‘s thesis focuses on the protection, preservation, and development of the natural environment of the former game reserve in Uhříněves, which has been transformed into a forest park with an emphasis on its integration into the urban structure and respect for the history of the place. The main goal is to create an attractive and functional forest park for the peaceful recreational activities of residents and visitors of the Uhříněves city district. The work emphasizes ecological sustainability, efficient use of resources, and minimization of negative impact on the environment. It also supports social and cultural development with regard to strengthening community spirit. The overall concept proposes the transformation of the former game reserve in Uhříněves into a multifunctional forest park with children‘s playgrounds, an educational trail, a bio-corridor, and modification of the Říčany stream bed. Part of the proposal is the optimization of the road network and the installation of new footbridges over the stream with the aim of creating a harmonious and sustainable space that meets the needs of the community.
