URBAN STUDY OF VRCHLABÍ

The diploma thesis focuses on an urban study of the town of Vrchlabí. Conceptually, it focuses on the course of the Elbe River throughout the town and specifically addresses the urban design of the broader city center in relation to the river. The first part focuses on the river's course in terms of revitalizing its space and enhancing its presence in the town. The second part focuses on an urban study of the broader city center, shaping its structure with an emphasis on a contextual approach. The result is the consolidation of the disparate structure and enhancement of the left bank of the city, including strengthening the axis of cultural institutions as the main attractions of this area.
