CULTURAL CENTRE WITH PARK BRNO - ŘEČKOVICE

The subject of the thesis is a cultural centre with a park on Palacký Square in Brno. The proposed building offers cultural use in the form of a multifunctional hall with a capacity of about 150 people, a library, a gallery and above all a bistro. The design of the building also includes the transformation of the square into a complex and connecting whole of the new square with the front area of the church. This creates two public spaces of different character - an intimate courtyard and a public square composed of variable spaces that can be transformed into a marketplace or into a sports ground. The proposal also includes the completion of open spaces in direct contact with the main square.
