House no.19 - Přepeře

The farmstead built in the 17th century in Přepeře in the Turnov region is divided into two parts: the residential area and the farm part, which used to be a cattle shed and stables and which does not serve its purpose anymore. There is also a barn on the plot and a large orchard. The owner takes care of the whole property on her own, and the area is in desperate need of renovation. It needs a meticulous care to preserve the historical structures but to bring a new life into this area at the same time. Our group focuses on new possible changes in terms of space use of either the whole area or parts of the property. For example, the barn is turned into a financially prosperous unit to help the much needed preservation of the farmstead.
