ZAHRÁDKY - FORMER BAKERY UNDER THE ROCK

The work deals with the reconstruction of the former bakery in Zahrádky near Česká Lípa. This set of buildings is incorporated into a massif of sandstone rocks, which together with the buildings formed a harmonious whole. Today, however, the area is in poor condition and new uses are being sought. The design seeks to restore the original authentic look while respecting traditional technologies and materials. Operationally, a new use of the area managed by the owner (family) is planned, which has an apartment on the floor of the main building. Other spaces are dedicated, for example, to the preparation and sale of traditional products, a lecture room in a rock or a space for meditations and workshops. The area is designed so that it is possible to organize various events for smaller groups.
