White garden

Anna Tenglerová

Annotation

A place to hide and rest, where the body and mind can rest and have time to heal. White color symbolizes peace and purity. In its simplicity our mind finds something clear, innocent and new beginning. In the garden, I use light elements of sandstone stone and light wood massif, in the form of sculptures. The concrete block objects form a maze with intertwining vegetation, creating a hidden entrance to the garden. I use the contrast of material structures, such as soft fluffy grasses next to rough unworked stone and solid wood sculptures tempting to caress, or contrasting colors of bright objects next to fresh green vegetation. Profusely blooming plants offer fragrance, and the varied flowers attract bees and butterflies. Stone drinkers are refreshment for birds, on hot summer days.
