Space Forms of Sacral Architecture made of Reinforced Concrete in the Czech Republic

The first notable implementation of reinforced concrete into sacral architecture in the Czech Republic can be observed in 1920s, where the reinforced concrete comes to the fore through the functionalistic architecture. However the early application of reinforced concrete was at the beginning of the 20th century, where this material was used for the stressed parts of the structures, especially for the foundations and vaults. The aim of this project is to follow the results of the student grant project SGS 2015 " Forms of Catholic Churches Made of Reinforced Concrete in the Czech Republic" and prepare the complete catalogue of the reinforced concrete sacral architecture of all Churches and Religions taking places in the Czech Republic from the early attempts at the beginning of the 20th century until today. Finally, the space analyse of the buildings and appraisal of the efficiency of the designed structure will be done.
