Annotation
The research is focusing on detailed analysis of self-organized community oriented housing, cohousing, for different types of communities: 1 / multigenerational, 2 / senior and 3 / community 40 +, in three different environments 1/urban, 2/suburban and 3/rural. The research proposal follows the quality of living for all generations, especially with regard to the neighborhood character of cohousing projects. Since any cohousing project in the Czech Republic has been finished yet, realized foreign examples of cohousing communities will be analyzed. Collected characteristics will be evaluated and compared with urban-architectural, town-planning, legislative, legal, cultural and social aspects of living in the Czech Republic. The aims of the research are 1/ to create type models of various communities in the most specific urban environments for the Czech Republic and 2/ to present the elaborated type models to the professional and general public.

Annotation
Sustainable development has rightly come into the focus of all developed societies. A special role in the area of sustainable development research is that of spatial structures. Spatial structures related decisions are specific as they have high momentum and substantial importance for the life of society. The topic of sustainable development is characteristic by its high complexity, context dependency and necessity of holistic attitude. This is partially in contrast with general scientific research process, which is characterized by focalization on a single topic with avoiding the context-based uncertainties. Therefore the proposed project aims to improve the perception of context in particular topics and in consequence to increase the level of insight of individual students into the topics of their theses.
