CITY OPAVA - OPAVA RIVER

he diploma thesis smoothly follows on from the analytical part of the diploma seminar. The goal of the diploma project is to restore the natural functions and qualities of the river landscape and create a practically functional public space of the city and its recreation. The proposal is based on the different characters of the river, its banks and the surrounding buildings. Through these characters, the approach and size of interventions in the river landscape changes, from natural areas, through urbanized environments to the city center. In each of these sub-parts, the design is based on the given assumptions, requirements and functions of the place and approaches them individually, but with the assumption of an inseparable interplay of detail with the whole.
