The task is to design a missing urban block in Vinohrady on top of a drinking water tank from PVK (Prazské vodovody a kanalizace) located between Flora and Orionka. The unusual contextual specificity  is that there cannot be vertical supports over this water tank, which defines most of the approximately 60x100 meter urban block. Therefore, one of the main investigations is to conceive atypical structural concepts which can span the roughly 55 meters with only peripheral vertical supports. In fact, this will be a project where the relationship between structure, form and program will be closely intertwined/reciprocal. Some inspirational analogies can be found from the works of Russian Constructivists to the works of Louis Kahn, Oscar Niemeyer and Rem Koolhaas. The main program will be a film school with student housing inspired by the holistic Bauhaus school concept. An alternative program could be exclusive housing/apartments.
